Gift appointed himself our tour guide roughly a week after we got to St. Gabe’s. He brought us into his home, explained his village, talked to us about his goals, introduced us to his family and friends, and tried to give us an authentic picture of Namitondo. We wouldn’t have understood nearly as much of what we saw without him.
